I have played millions of rounds of blackjack. I began sneaking into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have enjoyed online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of cash at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it almost impossible to defeat the house.

I still like the game and play on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won't get flush with this method or defeat the house, nonetheless you will experience an abundance of fun. This method is based on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a match of streaks. When you are hot your on fire, and when you're not you're NOT!

I bet with basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I don't win again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the wager back down to the original amount.

I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quickly. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic runs a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Wynn a number of years ago with $750 after 45 minutes using this technique! And a few months ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!

You need to understand that you can relinquish much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the runs you see betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 game.

Wager $5
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the initial five dollar bet

Wager 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of ten dollar

Bet ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 10 dollar bet

Wager 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 20 dollar

Bet $20
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $20 wager

Wager $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $40

Bet forty dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the original forty dollar bet

Bet $40
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of $80

Wager eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial eighty dollar wager

Bet $80
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar

Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the first $160 wager

If you left at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is difficult to go on a run this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and drop your bet or the end result won't be the same.
